Welcome!  I’m Susan Troutt.  I write children’s books: novels for middle grade readers and young adults.  Do you like to laugh?  My Jake series is funny, easy to read, and just right for kids in grades 2-5.  If you like stories that are mysterious and a little out of the ordinary, then try my Tales from the Granite Countertop series.  It’s recommended for readers in grades 4-9.

 

I love doing book visits.  I’d be happy to visit your school, library, or event.  As a former teacher, I’m comfortable in front of groups and love sharing reading and writing ideas with children and adults and helping them create story ideas of their own.
